- Begin in
Pincha
Mayurasana, Peacock Feather Pose I.
- Exhale and begin to slide the
heart forward as you equally bring your toes to your head. Keep
your weight evenly distributed in your palms and elbows.
Your heart will move towards the front side of your body and your
shoulders slightly towards the back side of your body.
- Careful not to over arch the lower
back. To prevent this keep your shoulder blades rooted into
the spine and slide the heart forward and lift the tailbone up to
the sky. Imagine you are arching over a large beach ball.
- Keep your knees together or hips
width apart.
- To Release: Begin to
straighten one leg then the other bringing yourself back through
Pincha Mayurasana. Then slowly step down from the inversion
and stay in
child pose for a few breaths
to regulate the blood pressure.
