Foundations of Posture:
  • Begin with your feet together and either step or hop your feet apart about 3 feet.
  • Extend your arms out into a "T" position so your ankles and wrists are in one line.
  • Isometrically draw your feet together by firing up your inner thigh muscles and shins while pressing down in to both the inside and outside of your feet (maintain a lift in the arches of your feet without gripping your toes).
  • Draw your shoulder blades in close to your spine as you extend joyfully out through your finger tips.
  • Allow the lower body to be lifted up by drawing the muscles of your leg up while extending down through the bones in your legs and through to your heels.
  • Extend through the crown of your head, keep the heart uncaged to lift the front of your body, and tailbone slightly tucks down to lengthen the back body.
  • To release: Step or jump your feet together.
